senior year plan prologue

"Sasuke, This is my daughter Namikaze Naruto."
Kushina said smiling, introducing her three year old daughter to Uchiha Mikoto's youngest son: Sasuke. The four year old boy stared at the other toddler.
She wore a orange sun dress, she was two inches smaller than him, soft looking golden blonde hair that reached to her shoulders, sun kissed skin, big, round, blue sapphire eyes, on each cheek were three whisker-like lines that made her look like a baby fox kit.

One word could describe her:

Adorable.

"Naru-chan" Sasuke's mother said getting Naruto's attention. "I would like you to meet my son Sasuke. I hope you two will become great friends."

Naruto glanced shyly at the young raven.
He was dressed in his pre-school uniform, taller than herself, black hair that was spiky in the back and his bangs were long, framing his face perfectly, eyes that matched his dark hair, and ivory skin.

She looked away from him shyly while the older child continued to stare at her quietly. She wasn't comfortable around boys because whether she's at day-care or at the park she was constantly bullied by them.

"Sasuke."

Mikoto whispered in her son's ear snapping him out of his one-sided staring contest.

"Why don't you give Naru-chan her birthday present?"

Sasuke suddenly remembered his father, Fugaku talking about his friend's daughter's birthday coming up.

October 10.

Which was today.

Sasuke nodded and left for a moment to get the gift. When he returned he handed Naruto a large, soft, red velvet bunny plushy with a pink, white, and red checker patterned ribbon around its neck.

Naruto stared at the rabbit in awe and mumbled "Usagi-chan…" already giving the plushy a name. She held Usagi-chan to her chest. And smiled a bright, happy, genuine smile.
"Thank you…Sasuke."

Sasuke couldn't suppress the bright pink blush on his cheeks.

Our Childhood and Friendship…

Five year old Naruto continued to cry on the ground as she watched the three boys, who hit her, pushed her, and stole Usagi-chan, tease her and wave her plushy in her face then yanking it away whenever she tried to reach for it.

"Cry baby!"

"Ha Ha! The little girl can't even stand up!"

"Loser!"

Naruto squeezed her eyes shut, trying to stop her tears from falling. She silently prayed that Sasuke would come and save her.

"OW!" One of the boys screamed.

  The blonde opened her eyes to see the boy that had stolen Usagi-chan on the ground with scraped elbows and the other two boys looked incredulously at… Sasuke! He had come to help her.

"It's pathetic to pick on a girl younger than you… leave Naruto alone." The six year old Sasuke commanded giving them an Uchiha death glare.

The boys flinched back but immediately got up ready to fight.

"Moron!"

"Let's teach him a lesson!

"Yeah!"

Naruto stared in horror as fists were thrown toward her best friend.

'Sasuke...'

*After The Fight*

Naruto and Sasuke sat at the end of the dock at the town's lake. The smaller girl touched a bandaged cheek on Sasuke's face, Sasuke winced away in pain.
"I'm sorry." Naruto said quietly, looking away and squeezing Usagi-chan close to her.

"I'm Sorry Sasuke. It's all my fault that you got hurt…I…I should have been stronger."

Sasuke ruffled her hair and smiled.
"Naruto don't worry about it. You're my best friend in the whole world… I'll always protect you… besides I'm strong enough to take a punch for you. Heh."

Naruto smiled happily and hugged him.

"Thank you Sasuke…You're my best friend in the whole world too."   

Was a Happy and Sincere One…

Naruto was now six years old and Sasuke being seven.
"Sasuke!" Naruto shouted as she entered the Uchiha's backyard.
"Naru-chan! You're here…you're later than usual, what happened?" Sasuke asked. Naruto couldn't help but scratch the back of her neck.
"Heh heh well mom took too long putting on her make-up and pa stayed at work late."
Sasuke sighed at her explanation. "Whatever. You're here now that's all that matters. Come on let's play." He grabbed her hand pulled her to the shed where all his games and toys were. Naruto noticed that Sasuke's hand was warm and smiled.
"Okay!"
Sasuke smiled back at her.

*A Little Later*

"Well, it looks like you two are having fun."
The two children looked over to see Sasuke's thirteen year old brother, Itachi.
"Itachi-nii!"Naruto cheered, smiling brightly she ran over to the teenager.
"Itachi-nii, Can you play with us too?!" she asked innocently. Itachi smirked at her.
"Of course Naru-chan."
Naruto was suddenly pulled away from Itachi by Sasuke, who held the younger girl to his chest possessively. "Aniki! Naru-chan is my friend. She's mine. Go away!" Sasuke growled. Itachi smirked at his brother. "Otouto, can't you share our cute little Naru-chan?" Itachi mockingly asked, saying 'our' just to tease Sasuke.
The little raven just glared at his big brother harder.
"NO! Get your own friends! She's mine!"
"Sasuke…" Naruto looked at him pleading him to let go over her. When that didn't work she squirmed in his arms.

"LET GO! LET GO! LET GO! LET ME GO!!!"

Not even five seconds later she was out of breath and slumped in her friends arms.
'She's so cute…' both the Uchihas thought.

Itachi couldn't help but smirk at the sight in front of him: Naruto resting her head on Sasuke's chest and Sasuke smiling down at her running his fingers through her hair.

They really did belong together.

I Thought Our Bond Was Special And Unbreakable…

Naruto was eight and Sasuke was nine when their parents; Namikaze Minato and Kushina and Uchiha Fugaku died in a car accident on the way to a business trip.

Itachi even though he was only fifteen, he was a genius and took over the Uchiha company with Sasuke under his care.

But for Naruto it was complicated. She was put under her Uncle Jiriya, but he was constantly traveling around the world. All he did was send money and visit her at least once a year.
And she was now Naruto Uzumaki. Because her parents had a computerized password made for their daughter's inheritance but told no one.
After so long Naruto had given up and lost everything: her money, her home and her name.

*At The Funeral*

" It must be horrible to lose their parents at such a young age."

"Poor things."

"It's a real shame."

Those were the words that were exchanged at the funeral. How it was a shame for such talented business owners had passed away and how sad it was for poor young children had lost their parents.

All they got was pity.

Unwanted pity.

After the burial and at the mourning party, Naruto noticed that Sasuke was nowhere in sight. She looked everywhere. Then she finally found him at their parents' graves

"Sasuke…"

Sasuke didn't acknowledge her. This scared her to no end this really had an effect on Sasuke.

"Sasuke you-" Naruto was cut off by the sight of blood dripping down his hand. She hugged Sasuke from behind and began to sob.

"Sasuke…I know your sad…I am too. I didn't want my mom and dad to die…but…but we need to be strong for them…please Sasuke…I ca-"

Sasuke suddenly turned around and held Naruto to his chest tightly. "I'm sorry Naruto…I'm sorry…we've always been together and I promise you we'll always be together, so don't cry. You make me strong. You can't leave me like they did…you can't."

That Is…Until…

Naruto was eleven and Sasuke was twelve when he betrayed her.

Naruto started to grin on her way to school. She came up with a mischievous idea:

From middle school to her junior year of high school she would dress and act like the stereotypical nerd. But on her senior year she will change her nerd image to a popular high school girl image.

Why was she doing this? To make a point to not judge a book from its cover. She was so tired of people labeling others. Nerds, popular kids, jocks, Goths, the works. She was going to change everything known about high school.

When she finally got to school she saw Sasuke with that pink haired girl, Haruno Sakura.
"Sasuke!" The blonde shouted to get his attention.

"Sasuke I-"

"Sasuke-kun, do you know this nobody?"

Naruto looked over at the other girl. Didn't she know that Sasuke and her were friends? She was about to explain herself until-

"No, I don't…let's go."

Naruto looked at Sasuke incredulously. What did he say? She grabbed Sasuke's sleeve to stop him. He flinched and pushed her to the ground.

"Ow…Sasuke, what are you-"

"Don't touch me or speak so formally to me, Dobe." Sasuke growled, glaring at his ex-best friend.

"B-But Sas-"

"Kami, leave him alone you desperate little bitch. Come on Sasuke-kun. Let's go to class." Sakura interrupted and insulted. They both left Naruto to cry at the loss to her best friend.

"Sasuke…Sasuke…Why? You said we'd…Why?"

"Sasuke…"

"Sasuke!"

You Betrayed Me And Ended It…

"SASUKE!"

Naruto woke up in a cold sweat. Why did she have to remember her past with Sasuke.
She was now seventeen and today was her first day of her senior year. Her plan wasn't just to prove a point anymore. It was to get back at Sasuke for abandoning her when she needed him.

Yes. This year would definitely bring a lot of drama.
